Job Description:
Adventures in Writing Camp is seeking creative, upbeat and zany counselors to lead campers throughout their camp day!
Qualifications:
- An outgoing “people-person” who loves working with kids
- Someone who loves getting silly, wearing costumes, and making others laugh
- A college student or college graduate who wants to help elementary school students fall in love with writing
- An up and coming actor or future teacher who believes that learning can and should be fun
- An energetic team player who is always ready to help
- An adventurer who is willing to try new things and adjust along the way
- A “maker” and a technology-lover who enjoys using technology to create new things
- Someone who takes having fun very seriously, but does not take themselves TOO seriously
Time Commitment and Schedule:
This is a 2-week commitment for the summer July 22-August 2nd with a training date scheduled upon hire.
The Adventure Guide will be on site from 8:15am – 3:15pm with an unpaid 45-minute lunch break. For the sake of the kids’ experience, it is expected that applicants plan to be available all ten days of any camp session they are working. You arrive slightly earlier the first day and leave later the last day to account for camp set up and break down.
