DENTAL FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
Optimizing and maintaining patients’ oral health, as well as enhancing the esthetics of their smiles, takes highly trained and skilled clinicians. In conjunction with quality care, putting a smile on a patient’s face also takes a compassionate and unified front office team. At Colony Square Dental Associates (CSDA) located in Midtown, Atlanta, we have excelled in providing both aspects of care, creating a successful practice, for over 35 years.
We take pride in shaping a patient friendly environment, beginning with a patient’s first call. This requires front office administrators who are able to handle day-to-day business tasks, seamlessly, all the while developing relationships with patients that garner trust and confidence in CSDA.
A position is available for the right professional, able to work in concert with the business team in order to optimize systems while conducting the tasks incumbent upon an office manager. A Bachelors degree or an Associates degree is preferred; a minimum of four years of dental management (managerial skills) experience is necessary.

- Able to create positive relationships with patients and enhance the cohesiveness of our team; knowing the critical nature a smile plays in all daily activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills: able to effectively, and professionally – with proper grammar – communicate in person, on the phone and in writing
- Possess the tools necessary to multi-task in a busy environment to ensure all front office functions are completed in both an accurate and a timely fashion
- Able to ‘intentionally schedule’, per office systems, patient appointments and manage doctors’ and hygienists’ books.
- Confirmation of appointments; checking patients in and out, scheduling next visits, contacting patients by phone and in writing to schedule treatment needs
- Proficient in basic computer programs along with proven ability to learn new software programs
- Aptitude for precise documentation
- Detail oriented: able to present treatment plans, fees and structure payment arrangements
- Track payment plans, follow up with patients and handle delinquent accounts
- Understanding of all aspects of dental insurance – from claims submission, analysis of EOBs, discussing dental insurance with patients, following up on claims to corresponding with dental insurance carriers as needed
- Motivated to be cross-trained in order to assist all front office co-workers in the management of all administrative tasks
- Be innovative, learning the priorities and existing protocols of our office, while seeking to present new ideas to present and help implement new procedures to increase office efficiency
- Understanding of Social Media; able to contribute to our dental website: managing Facebook, writing & posting blogs, Instagram, Twitter, are pluses
- Interest in Marketing – assisting with office growth
- Develop a positive leadership role; able to interface with team members and assist with problem solving when concerns arise
- Work with the team to institute new protocols to enhance the efficiency of the office
- Train new business team members
- Oversee HIPPA compliance, OSHA regulations, maintain/update office and employee manuals as needed
