Utility incentive programs and Demand Response (DR) programs are important strategic influencers, helping generate compelling business cases for customers looking to implement an energy management solution, while enabling more buildings to use energy more efficiently and deliver grid resiliency are among GridPoint’s most critical strategic goals.
GridPoint fosters relationships with utilities nationwide to deliver their incentives for better managing and lowering energy consumption. Our ability to deliver on these incentives relies on having a deep understanding of program requirements; while our processes rely on customer, utility, and vendor partner relationship management, timeliness of incentive processing, managing data from multiple sources, and ensuring appropriate project tracking.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager Utility Solutions, this person will be responsible for contributing to the success of our incentive programs, helping assist in all necessary aspects of these programs. This person will work at the intersection of Sales, Customer Success, Product Development, as well as providing customer and third-party partner or utility support, to ensure that applications are being processed, appropriate tracking is being conducted, and program value is being delivered.
GridPoint is seeking a candidate with experience in utility incentives, Demand Response or, alternatively, program, project or bid management. This person is comfortable transitioning between detailed, repetitive work such as application management and client meetings/coordination, with the ability to balance many tasks at once with a high degree of organization, efficiency, and communication.
- Support the execution, delivery and performance of all utility incentive programs and DR programs.
- Conduct research activities into utility programs to stay up-to-date on requirements and changes to support achievable incentive forecasts to our customers and internal stakeholders. Help maintain the dataset containing up-to-date DR program and partner information.
- Expand our capability to deliver added value through new programs and relationships.
- Improve program visibility and reporting for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Support development of internal processes and tools that reduce friction during enrollment, installation, measurement and verification, and payments processing for utility incentive programs.
- Improve customer onboarding and payment tracking processes and tools.
- Support customer enrollment, provisioning, strategic nominations, and payment processing for DR programs.
- Work with the product team to design new DR-related features for our software.
- Tend to currently enrolled sites, improving nomination strategy based on historical performance and customer needs in DR programs.
- Work with our key partners such as Leap and CPower as needed to enhance product integration and processes that enable us to enter new and more nuanced markets.

- 3-5+ years of experience in energy industry (renewable energy, utility energy efficiency programs, demand response programs, or some combination thereof) or, alternatively in project/program management or bid response management.
- The ability to conduct repetitive, highly detail-oriented work with speed and accuracy.
- Skilled at technical communication to a variety of diverse stakeholders.
- Strong Data Analysis skills: comfortable manipulating Excel files as well as tracking and managing multiple datasets. Experience in Airtable a plus.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across different internal departments to ensure successful program delivery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
