We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT). What You’ll Do: As a crucial member of our ACT team, your clinical skills and experience will be instrumental in assessing, planning, developing, coordinating, and providing treatment, rehabilitation, and support services for individuals under our care. Your role will involve direct community engagement, including visits to clients in their homes, ensuring they receive the support needed to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nursing Services: Provide essential nursing services, including administration and monitoring of medication.
- Clinical Assessments: Conduct nursing assessments and interventions; screen and monitor individuals for medical problems and medication side effects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the team psychiatrist to develop, revise, and maintain medication protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Medication Management: Record and administer psychotropic medications prescribed by the team psychiatrist, evaluate and chart medication effectiveness, complications, and side effects.
- Client Support: Develop strategies with clients to maximize medication adherence and engage in health promotion.
- Standards Compliance: Strive to meet the critical standards of the National Program Standards for ACT Teams and maintain required documentation.
- Coordination: Coordinate services with other medical providers to ensure comprehensive care.

What We’re Looking For: We seek an empathetic and patient-focused individual to provide care in various community settings. Excellent communication skills, the ability to handle multiple responsibilities, and a valid, unrestricted, state-appropriate driver’s license are essential.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted nursing license to practice in North Carolina or Virginia (RN, APRN, or LPN as applicable).
- Driving: Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a good driving record.
- Experience: Prior mental health experience is preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual (any language) is a plus!
