Innovate! Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its geospatial solutions team as a Geospatial Analyst III in support of expanding Innovate’s business footprint in Salt Lake City, Utah.

LOCATION*
This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah with the opportunity for remote work.

REQUIREMENTS*
- Application of remote sensing/geospatial technologies for natural resource applications such as change detection, monitoring, and information extraction from multispectral imagery, radar, LiDAR, etc.
- Proficiency in supervised/unsupervised image classification, data mining, and feature extraction techniques, along with accuracy assessment procedures.
- Ability to identify and apply innovative approaches to geospatial analysis and modeling.
- Development, management, and analysis of remote sensing and geospatial datasets, including diverse and unique data types, to support resource management projects.
- Evaluation of new remote sensing technologies and associated tools/methods for integration into business functions within the organization.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES*
- Expertise in processing, analyzing, and modeling geospatial data using commercial and open-source software such as ERDAS, Google Earth Engine, eCognition, Metashape, Esri, and Pix4D.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, and JavaScript, and familiarity with common geospatial libraries.
- Application of programming concepts to automate geospatial processing, troubleshoot and debug scripts, conduct classification and regression analysis, and visualize spatial and aspatial data effectively.
- Preparation of technical reports, technology transfer, and geospatial training materials for technology evaluation and development projects.
- Experience in performing data modeling on both corporate and diverse natural resource datasets.

EDUCATION*
Professional certification, or relevant coursework in geography, GIS, or remote sensing, and seven (7) years of relevant professional work experience in geospatial analysis and modeling.

Bachelor’s degree related to geography, GIS, remote sensing, or physical / biological / environment / natural resource discipline with substantive coursework in geospatial analysis and modeling, and five (5) years of relevant professional work experience in geospatial analysis and modeling.

Graduate degree related to geography, GIS, remote sensing, or physical / biological / environment / natural resource discipline with substantive coursework in geospatial analysis and modeling, and three (3) years of relevant professional work experience in geospatial analysis and modeling.

PhD degree related to geography, GIS, remote sensing, or physical / biological / environmental discipline, including emphasis or coursework in geospatial analysis and modeling, and one (1) year of relevant professional work experience in geospatial analysis and modeling.
