Russell Tobin and Associates is seeking Patient Service Representatives for one of our top healthcare clients!
Location: Remote- US
Pay: $18/hr.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound inquiries and general program questions.
- Determine eligibility for support programs (e.g., Copay, Patient Assistance Programs, Medicaid).
- Coordinate pharmacy services, including triage and order processing.
- Conduct follow-up activities such as obtaining missing information or prior authorizations.
- Intake and report adverse events as directed.
- Research and resolve claim denials or underpayments promptly.
- Collect information via phone, fax, mail, and online platforms.
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving requests accurately and promptly.
- Report trends or delays to program management (e.g., billing denials, claim issues).
- Ensure all program communications meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams for documentation compliance.
- Handle problems of moderate scope using defined procedures.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and accept feedback on performance.
- Perform additional assigned duties.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a two-year associate’s degree program in fields such as business administration, accounting, computer sciences, medical billing and coding, customer service, or similar vocations preferred.
- 3+ years or more of directly related and progressively responsible experience required.
Skills Required:
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

- Strong mathematical skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- General knowledge of accounting principles, pharmacy operations, and medical claims.
- General knowledge of health care billing preferred.
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Developing professional expertise; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
