Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty member’s tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. These faculty will have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.
The Neurotech Institute (NTI) seeks a senior-level investigator to serve as tenured Assistant Director in the translational research mission of NTI. NTI develops novel treatments to improve the lives of people with neurological and mental health disorders. NTI blends clinical medicine, engineering, and science principles for next generation diagnostics and devices. The Assistant Director will work with NTI faculty to drive strategy and scientific efforts, as well as assist the NTI CEO in development and administration. Candidates may have backgrounds in biomedical engineering, basic science, medicine, or related fields, with an established track record of publication and extramural grant funding. The candidate’s academic home will be the Neurosurgery Department at Wexner College of Medicine, with secondary appointments appropriate to the candidate’s expertise. Teaching and clinical activities are available, as appropriate to the candidate’s qualifications.
