Hiring experienced Banquet Captains who will be responsible for supervising the Banquet Servers in a positive manner.
Job Functions
- Meet and greet clients.
- Oversee in house catered functions.
- Responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event.
- Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms and storage areas.
- Responsible for the proper usage and good working order of all equipment, furniture and fixtures in the Banquet and Catering Section in the shift assigned.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met.
- Supervise events and team members throughout service.
- Guide the Banquet Servers in set up of tables and place settings.
- Resolve staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently.
- Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies and operating equipment for functions assigned.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- High school or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Good computer skills including Word and Excel.
- 2+ years of convention hotel experience or related field preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
- Have the ability to make connections with people, motivating and inspiring them to achieve results.
- Demonstrate strong initiative and self-direction.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and results oriented.
- Ability to understand, quickly react and motivate others to adapt to the changing organization.
