About the position
The ideal candidate should have 15+ years of experience reviewing complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns. Complexity may include multiple states, changes in ownership, asset or stock sales, tax research, and other issues. We are seeking an outstanding, career-minded professional to grow into the role of overall manager of our review department.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Review tax returns of all levels
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through exceptional service
- Collaborate with staff on complex, multistate tax preparation and planning
- Respond to tax notices from Federal, State, or local municipalities
- Research and resolve tax and accounting issues affecting our clients
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors Degree in accounting (required)
- CPA certification (required)
- 15+ years of strong tax experience including preparation and review of complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns at local, state, and federal levels
- Experience in tax planning and research
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to use critical thinking to resolve complex problems with creative solutions
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Experience with Lacerte, QuickBooks, and/or CCH Engagement is a plus
