We are currently hiring for our 2nd shift: Monday to Thursday from 5 pm - 3:30 am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently handle materials and products in a manufacturing facility or distribution center.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Ensure proper placement and securing of items to prevent damage during transport.
- Perform inventory control activities, including counting, sorting, and organizing materials.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned area.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Experience & Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or materials handling preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations and order-picking processes.
- Experience with inventory management of FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and LIFO (Last-In, First-Out).
- Forklift certification is a plus.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1-2 years in similar position or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with tape measures and imperial measurement.
- Meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Background check, drug screening, and physical exam required.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
- Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
- PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
- Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
- Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
- Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
