Position Overview:
As an Accounts Payable Associate, you'll be at the forefront of our financial operations, ensuring the smooth processing of invoices and payments. Your role is pivotal in maintaining strong relationships with our vendors while safeguarding our financial integrity. Attention to detail and a knack for problem-solving are essential as you navigate various invoices and statements. In this role, you'll be a key player in maintaining the financial health of our organization while contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and bill.com
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Analyzing workflow processes and improvement opportunities
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Processing payments and credit card transactions ensuring appropriate documentation is provided
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
· 1-3 years of accounts payable experience in a corporate environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Knowledge of GAAP and financial principles is a plus.
