An advisor for this role has an extensive technical background in design and development and significant experience with AI, ML and applied data science. You will be advising cross-functional teams made up of Data and Cognitive Scientists, Software Developers, UX Designers and more to build scalable AI Solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess the capability of cutting-edge AI powered software solutions to inform the integration of next generation sensors and related technologies
- Reviews applied research per clients requirements
- Reviews scientific study and experimentation directed toward advancing the state of research and subsystem requirements.
- Reviews sensor test and evaluation development
- Analyzes and evaluates concepts, technologies, systems and subsystems
- Assists in the development of operational concepts and tactics with the end goal being the application of results to developing new or improving UxS (unmanned systems) and sensor capabilities
- Designs and develops software requirements for multiple Artificial Intelligence based products including the software architectures, APIs, frameworks, and libraries (Does not work the actual coding of software requirements)
- Analyzes functionality of front end and backend of software releases, components, and tooling to inform the development process
- Maintains and guides the development of common libraries and tools used by multiple teams
- Aids in formulating a strategy on how to achieve rapid prototyping of AI capabilities
- Provides technical guidance to data scientists, UX designers, cognitive scientists, developers, and testers to compose cohesive and sound software designs that form the basis of scalable AI solutions
- Documents requirements and specifications and reviews documentation provided by other teams and vendors
- Assists in optimizing software designs and architectures to deliver desired performance requirements and recommend tooling and methodologies to monitor execution and capture performance metrics
- Up-to-date on latest AI system trends, software architectures, design patterns, DevSecOps, and systems architecture patterns
MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- AI/ML Model Development
- ML Operations
- Applied Data Science
- Technical Writing
- Technical Experience: architecting and delivering successful complex software projects involving multiple modules, Application Programming Interfaces (API), data integration and algorithm stacks
- Working on DevSecOps Pipelines
- Agile Software Development
- Hands-on development of PaaS
- Working knowledge the following technologies: Kubernetes, Computer Vision (especially open-source libraries), Linux Kernel drivers, Software Defined Radio (SDR), API gateways, ML/AI training pipelines, C, C++, Rust, Assembler (ARM, X86), Java, CUDA, Developing compilers, OAuth/ or SAML, TLS/SSL
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- MS: Information Technology or related field AND 7+ years of related experience OR
- 10 years: Software Development in professional realm years of related exp
- NOTE: Less experience may be considered depending on strength of relevant skills/requirements that exceed those listed in the PD
- Active Secret Clearance
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and be authorized to work for the Federal government.
