We are looking for a machine press operator. Qualifications mechanically inclined, eagle eyes and strong attention to detail to make sure machines are well-maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Set and adjust multiple piece dies (up to 1000lbs) and presses (up to 600 ton).
- Measure and examine parts to ensure die and press is set up correctly to produce parts that meet required specifications.
- Monitor press while in operation being aware of any mechanical and/or audio deviations or abnormalities (i.e., something doesn’t seem right, or something changed).
- Complete quality checks and paperwork every day to maintain production and industry regulations and company standards.
- Make sure work environment remains safe, uncluttered, clean and well-maintained by performing maintenance and general janitorial duties throughout shift as time allows.
- Review all work orders and instructions and verify die and press is properly set up and correct material is being used to produce parts that meet required specifications.
- Engage in continuing education training and seminars to remain up-to-date on the latest industry techniques, machines, safety is s and equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain assigned machines and equipment as needed for maximum product quality and operational efficiency.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Forklift experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures, rulers, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to lift at least 75 pounds
- At least a full year of work experience as a machine press operator
