Description:
The San Francisco Vikings Soccer Club is a non-profit organization that offers year-round programs to the youth soccer community. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Recreational Soccer Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about soccer and committed to fostering a positive and fun learning environment for young players.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct age-appropriate training sessions tailored to the developmental needs of the players.
- Teach fundamental soccer skills to ensure that players have a strong foundation to build upon.
- Organize small-sided games to promote skill development in a dynamic and engaging manner.
- Create a positive and enjoyable learning environment to keep players motivated and enthusiastic about the sport.
Requirements:
- Passion for soccer and working with children.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably in youth soccer programs or camps.
- Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Enthusiasm, patience, and the ability to motivate young athletes.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Registration Requirements:
- Relevant coaching license or willingness to get certified.
- Completion of full FBI and DOJ clearance through Live Scan.
- Completion of the 90-minute SafeSport online course.
Prospective coaches will be compensated for onboard training, paid at the end of the season.
Schedule (Fall Season):
- One or two 1-1.5 hour practices per week per team between 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
- Games on weekends (typically Saturday).
