Summary:
The role of Product Manager is to own “voice of customer- driven” development and life cycle management of current and future consumer product line. SIONYX has application specific night vision camera designs allowing our users to see in color at night under ultra-low light conditions. These Commercial applications span Maritime, Hunting/Tactical, Security, Land management, and Astronomy/Scientific markets. With this wide range of customers, we are looking to grow our product management team to improve our customer intimacy, leading to better designs and solutions. In addition to our night vision camera solutions, we are looking for a product manager to drive our mobile app development as it is our best gateway to interface with our current and potential customers.
The Product Manager has at least 10 years of related experience in all phases of product development, sustainment, and end of life. They offer expertise in those phases and are able with Interface with the CTO, build proper relationships across functions, maintain schedule management through gate process, engage in regular technical interface with Engineering, and most importantly, lead voice of the customer. The voice of customer is ensuring we bring a desired value proposition to an open market. The PM will be expected to orchestrate VOC sessions in conjunction with customers and team members from sales, marketing and product engineering and provide directional feedback to the leadership team regarding feasibility in differentiators, the customer facing value proposition and the financial business case short and long term.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for cradle to grave product management, from concept to business case justification, through development and market validation, into production and through its life cycle.
· Identify market gaps and work with team members to propose and deliver successful product solutions.
· Gathering voice of customer and translate into realizable product requirements.
· Develop and maintain the product line roadmap.
· Provide software and hardware updates and promotional ideas to keep product relevant and profitable.
· Drive related accessory portfolio to support product use cases.
· Work daily across functional teams in sales, marketing, engineering, and operations.
· Ultimately responsible for the financial success of the product and product line including contributing to the sales forecast from launch through life cycle.
· Collaborate with marketing on the go to market strategy and execution.
· Travel
o Expected to attend multiple trade shows throughout the year.
o Visit and qualify key vendors.
o Organize and attend customer training events.
· Act as subject matter expert for customer training and trade show events.
· Occasionally participate in training videos or show interviews with media.
· Continue to establish SIONYX as the premier digital night vision solution.
Qualifications
· Must be or become an avid hobbyist in the related product application- Marine, Hunting or Law Enforcement/Tactical.
· Ability to manage support teams across sales, marketing, engineering, and operations.
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or another related field preferred
· 10 years of related experience in product management
· History of leading teams of product development teams
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Frequent travel by air and car; up to 30% of time
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times

Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000
Variable Bonus Compensation: Up to 30% of base salary
