Job Summary
As an Accounting Clerk III, you would be responsible for overseeing and completing more difficult and complex clerical accounting work. Through a combination of knowledge and experience, the Accounting Clerk III carries out regular daily accounting tasks such as the handling of, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, revenue collection and cash management.
As part of the accounting team, this role works both independently and as part of a larger team where working with individuals in varying departments is required to complete goals and make deadlines.

General Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- An associate degree in accounting or a related field is required however the equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.
- Must possess the ability to perform unsupervised clerical accounting methods, forms and techniques is required.
- Maintain general accounting record keeping and bookkeeping transactions. A strong ability to perform arithmetic computations efficiently as well as maintaining, compiling and reviewing statistical and financial records is required.
- Must demonstrate great attention to detail and maintain the highest standards of data integrity and organization skills.
- Must be able to perform reconciliations, gather statistical data and prepare worksheets as well as be able to analyze data and solve problems efficiently.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task with projects, team members of varying departments, vendors and clients.
- Must be able to meet varying deadlines both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally including appropriate follow up wherever needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required including the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Must be proactive in managing tasks and coordinating with others to ensure operational efficiency.
- Must be flexible and capable of adapting to changing priorities and job duties within the department setting.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide day to day accounting and clerical support to the accounting department as well as working with other departments.
- Perform routine accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger ensuring accuracy of prepared documents and records.
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records and post and balance journal and subsidiary ledgers.
- Compiles various financial and statistical records and classifies data according to prescribed accounting system.
- Research to obtain missing information or verify unusual data to ensure proper due diligence is followed.
- Assist in the preparation of financial, accounting, statistical statements, analyses, documents, and reports. Assist other accounting staff and departmental management in the preparation of reports; gather and organize data.
- Reconcile differences within the record-keeping system and related transactions.
- Interface with all levels within the Company, and must have the ability to multi-task, communicate clearly, and have skills in the areas of synthesizing and processing data with an attention to detail.
- Investigate, tracks and resolves or properly refers accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
- Participates in all Company required training sessions and comply with all Company’s Rules of Conduct, policies and procedures
- Regular attendance. Qualified absences related to the State and Federal Family Medical Leave Act must be reported to Human Resources.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
