State of the Art, busy, Facial Plastic Cosmetic Surgery Center looking for a (Full-Time) individual with long-term potential who wants to grow and expand with the practice.
We are looking to hire a (OR Registered Nurse RN Manager / Surgical Coordinator) with excellent organizational and administrative skills. Nurse Managers are expected to be decisive leaders with superb time management and record-keeping skills.
Promotes and maintains patients’ health and safety by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multi-disciplinary professional staff; providing physical and psychological support for patients, families, and caregivers.
The Nurse Manager will work closely with the Physician(s) and the Office Manager in the performance and delegation of nursing duties to provide the best nursing care possible to the surgical patients. In addition to assisting with the care of surgical patients, the Nurse Manager will be responsible for supervising the provision of quality nursing care given at the facility. He/she will be responsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practices, coordinating nursing and training programs, and recognizing and assisting in solving problems within established policies and practices.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- 2 years of experience, preferably in a cosmetic facial/plastic surgery practice or in a surgical medical field as a Registered Nurse
- Valid and Active RN license
- Valid CPR (BLS/ACLS) certification.
- Monday through Friday, availability from 8:00 am to 5 pm is necessary (hours are subject to change & may require days with earlier/later hours).
- Demonstrated knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterilization

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Works in collaboration with the Office Manager to accomplish selecting, training, scheduling, and coaching medical personnel. Communicates job expectations and monitors contributions.
- Contributes information to staff meetings and reviews, resolves problems, and identifies system improvements.
- Monitors expenditures and develops ways to effectively reduce costs of facility supplies.
- Maintains nursing guidelines while working within accreditation standards.
- Promotes patients’ independence by providing detailed pre-operative and post-operative care instructions tailored to specific surgical procedures.
- Oversees ordering of all medical supplies and medications. Documents expired medications as needed.
- Reviews and ensures contents of crash cart are at acceptable level, restocking and reordering supplies and medications as needed. Oversees documentation in the Crash Cart monthly logbook with expired medications.
- Ensures that expired medications are disposed of properly.
- Maintains nursing supplies inventory by studying usage, identifying trends, and anticipating needed supplies.
- Routinely monitors OR/Procedure Room and PACU/Recovery Room equipment to insure proper function and upkeep. Troubleshoots malfunctions and calls for repairs as needed.
- Updates physician preference cards as needed.
- Conducts Pre-Operative appointments with patients prior to surgery as needed. Reviews medical history, signs consents, answers questions, discusses sedation techniques, explains post-operative care, and takes photos.
- Reviews upcoming surgery charts for adequate medical clearance, labs, EKGs, medications orders, and caregiver information to ensure the patient is ready for surgery.
- Conducts post-operative follow-up appointments with surgical patients. Makes assessments, changes dressings, removes drains and sutures, provides interventions, answer questions, educates patients, and updates physician on patient status.
- Serves as the Infection Control and Prevention Officer.
- Serves as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
