Job Overview:
We are seeking a culinary skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook with a very flexible schedule to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for meal preparation and assisting in the kitchen to ensure smooth operations. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment and showcase your culinary skills.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and guidelines
- Assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and preparing sauces
- Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service
- Follow dietary guidelines and restrictions when preparing meals
- Adhere to portion control standards to minimize waste
- Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other kitchen staff members
