Level 2 Help Desk Engineer & Junior Project Manager
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in networking technologies, concepts, and protocols. A willingness to acquire and maintain knowledge of the latest standards, products, and practices relating to the IT field while providing professional and prompt service. Customer services skills must be top notch to be able to maintain company standards.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5-7 years of IT work experience including Level 2 or 3 Help Desk, Project Deployments, and Solutions Consulting.
Job description: Level 2 Advanced technical support, project management and deployments, solutions consulting. Your role will be split between Help Desk Engineer and Project Management for an MSP. This role includes consulting with customers on IT related projects such as deploying or migrating solutions. These range from from line of business software, Windows servers, and Networking equipment. You will also be responsible for providing Level 2 and 3 technical support, and working on escalations within the help desk team as needed.
Technical requirements include:
. Project Management experience. Working with customers on deployments and migrations. Providing and meeting timelines, while maintaining excellent communication.
· Advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems.
. Advanced understanding of Microsoft Server roles & features such as Remote Desktop Services, Routing and Remote Access, VPN Solutions, DHCP, DNS, Network Policy Server, and IIS.
. Solid understanding of Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and other e-mail solutions. This includes deployment.
· Advanced understanding of Virtualization technologies such as: VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V
· Advanced understanding of LAN/WAN topology, network protocols switches, and SonicWaLL firewalls
· * Microsoft Certifications, CompTIA A+ and \ or Network + preferred but not mandatory.
