We are looking for an experienced and focused on results Vice President of Operations.
VP of Florida Operations will drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead optimization of all processes to achieve Accel’s operational and financial goals in our brand new, state of the art Florida facility. This executive role will oversee all daily operations of the 24/7 production and manufacturing facility to ensure policies and procedures are followed and set goals are achieved. They will implement processes that will maximize efficacy, safety, quality and productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations and deliver operational results.
- Optimize production assets’ capacity and flexibility, while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Ensure that production goals are met by effectively leading the work force.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and finished products.
- Ensure 99% on-time delivery.
- Ensure best-in-class product quality.
- Reduce waste and minimize scrap generation by improving processes.
- Improve and/or develop ERP/MRP system for maximum efficiency.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Business, etc.) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Management.
- Proven record of successfully managing safety, quality, productivity, and inventory.
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources) and financial acumen.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Applications, especially Excel.
