Overview/ Job Responsibilities:
Sev1Tech is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support the Program Executive Office (PEO) Manpower, Logistics, and Business Solutions (MLB) which manages the Logistics (LOG) Information Technology (IT) portfolio. This portfolio is composed of 300+ afloat and ashore IT systems/applications with 150,000+ users across all Naval Systems Commands (SYSCOMs) and Naval Operational Forces (NOF) to include ships, carriers, submarines, USN/USMC aviation squadrons, and Naval Expeditionary Forces. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is a joint user of LOG IT capabilities and is part of the program requirements. LOG IT enables essential business operations for various capability groups.
This role requires a strong mix of customer service skills and a detailed understanding of the domain(s) to identify issues and vulnerabilities, so they can be remediated.
The Cyber Security Analyst primary responsibilities include:

Plans and implements security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data from loss and service interruptions.
- Identifies, Analyzes and documents security risks, breaches, and other cyber security incidents and the damage they cause.
- Develops and implements a network disaster recovery plan, and oversees the monitoring of the computer networks for security issues.
- Installs and operates security software and measures to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
- Collaborates with the security team to perform tests and find network weaknesses. Researches and recommends security enhancements and purchases.
- Works with management to develop best practices.
- Researches and keeps current on the latest IT intelligence technologies, trends, and security standards.
- Trains staff on network and IT security procedures.

Working closely with the cyber security team leads and engineers, and other program stakeholders.

Follow the 6 step Risk Management Framework (RMF) from development to Authority to Operate (ATO).

Acquire, develop and upload artifacts for Information Systems in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for the body of evidence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree

Holds minimum US DoD Interim Secret or Secret level clearance

4 years of relevant cyber security experience

DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE

Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment

Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and writing

Must be a self-starter, strong leader, and have the ability to work independently with little supervision
