Job Description:

The Flight Operations ( FO) Crew Planning Analyst is on the Crew Planning Bid Administration Team and will create, publish, and award pilot’s monthly schedules . This role will collect and analyze all Crew Operations data including Planning, Scheduling, Payroll, and Training while supporting various model creations, business rule changes, and ongoing Crew Planning, Scheduling, and Training initiatives. The FO Crew Planning Analyst is a skilled collaborator and problem solver ready to champion the future of Flight Operations.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Experience
Responsibilities
Assists in the construction of Pilot pairings
Creates and prepares monthly bid packets and all award results
Interacts with advanced optimization and decision support tools to build Pilot crew pairings and lines
Conducts analysis to drive cost improvements for staffing, crew pairings, daily open time assignment, training resource planning and irregular operations management
Updates models that drive plans for hiring, captain upgrades, base staffing, and vacation. Includes all supporting research and documentation
Aids in the development of new processes/tools/reports to support greater efficiency for Crew Planning, Scheduling, and Flight Operations Training
Provides technical guidance on principles and topics within Crew Planning, Scheduling, and Flight Operations Training
Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel experience (pivot tables, look up functions, etc.), MS Access (DB queries, etc.), and PowerPoint
Knowledge to understand complex Excel models, Business Intelligence tools, databases, and optimization tools
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, collective bargaining agreements, and governmental regulations
Knowledge in designing and conducting analyses, as well as synthesizing recommendations in a structured and concise manner
Skilled in effective communication (written, verbal, and visual), and communicate with all levels of the Company including Senior Leadership and union Leaders
Ability to work within specific time frames in both supervised and unsupervised assignments
Ability to adjust to quickly changing priorities
Ability to juggle multiple mental demands including but are not limited to: detailed work, reading documents, problem solving, stress, reasoning, verbal and written communications, customer contact, multiple concurrent tasks and constant interruptions
Ability to investigate and problem solve
Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a Team
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
Analytical problem solving
Databases and database reporting tools
Data collection and analysis
Experience in airline operations
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age (or applicable age)
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and overtime
Ability to work extended work hours as needed
Occasional travel may be required
Pay & Benefits
Competitive market salary from $72,800.00 - $80,900.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
