Glen Rose Meat Company, established in 1985 is a family owned and operated meat distribution and processing company.
We are looking for a responsible Night Shift Manager. The shift Manager will work with the Warehouse General Manager to ensure that company goals are met.
Essential Functions
- Overall responsibility of assigned shift.
- Ensure that shift’s personal and leaders deliver great Customer Service.
- Ensure that all orders are accurately, safe, and efficiently prepared for both will call and delivery orders.
- Coordinate with shift leaders to ensure that personal follow all operational safety, company protocols, and policies at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse.
- Coordinate with Facility manager to repair any unsafe equipment or assets in the building.
- Create and develop an employee centric culture that supports teamwork.
- Responsible for shift’s adherence to inventory control policies and processes.
- Utilize Aspen to direct the working function of our operations.
- Collaborate with Warehouse General Manager to ensure goal alignment.
- Analyze Shift’s performance KPI’s and implement improvements.
- Coordinate and lead Continous Improvement projects.
- Ensure that all pre-shift, end of shift, checklists are completed.
- Overtime, Weekend, and Holiday hours required.
Additional Responsibilities: Warehouse Supervisor
- Ensure that the sales order process is completed or coordinate with the Sales or Administrative Staff to troubleshoot if issues occur.
- Plan and execute shift’s tasks by delegating tasks to the appropriate team members.
- Coordinate with HR on all employee related functions.
- Responsible for ensuring that all employees are complying with company Food Safety protocols.
- Manage the new hire training program.
- Manage the inventory receiving processes.
- Manage the Audit daily cooler, freezer, and production product inventory as needed.
- Participate in Month End Inventory as needed.
- Complete proper certification training of company equipment and operate pallet jacks, fork lift, dolly, hand jack, hand truck, bailer, etc.
- Ensure that the shift follow all Food Defense, and Food Safety protocol.
- Collaborate with the Grandpa Moo’s leadership team to ensure product is accurately, safe, and efficiently exchanged between both departments.
- Responsible for execution of the fleet equipment management protocols.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Excellent written & oral communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience in driving Culture Improvements.
- Ability to Manage Change.
- Ability to interact with customers and all levels of management and staff.
- Basic math.
- Knowledge of 10 key, Excel, Outlook, Word, and basic computer applications preferred.
- Bilingual preferred with proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading English.
- Certification for operation for pallet jack, fork lift, and bailer equipment preferred.
- 4 years of Supervisor experience preferred.
- 3 year of Perishable warehousing experience
- Valid Class C License.
Physical Requirements
- Lift an average of 80 lbs. repeatedly – lift max may exceed 100 lbs.
- Work in varying temperatures of hot and cold.
- Work in temperatures below 0 degrees.
- Ability to constantly and repetitively stand, walk, stoop, bend, lift, and pull.
- Ability to work standing for duration of shift.
- Ability to work in refrigerated environment and on wet floors for duration of shift.
Environment/Working Conditions
This is a physically demanding environment. There is a lot of heavy lifting and the work is repetitive. Temperatures vary between hot and cold and wet and dry. Team work requires all members of our staff to work together and perform their jobs in a productive manner at all times. Every team member, including management, is required to clean and maintain a clean and safe environment.
