We are looking for a Director of Nursing to lead a 59-bed skilled nursing facility located in Signal Hill. We require a responsible nurse capable of providing outstanding care and quality service.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department
- Provides documentation, accuracy and administration of medications and IVs
- Follows up on correction of findings and deficiencies of Department of Health Services, Consultants, and Quality Assurance Team
- Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
- Provide written/and or oral in-services based on census
- Create schedules for licensed nursing staff
- Following policies and procedures delegated by the company, as well as the Department of Health
- Monitor Nursing department’s quality of care and budget, and implement and provide plan of corrections and needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of two year experience in nursing supervision in a skilled nursing facility/long term care
- CA RN license without restrictions/in good standing, Completion of assessment & documentation on all admissions, transfers, discharges and care plans
- Expertise in OBRA & Title 22 regulations applicable to SNF and sub-acute units.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid state RN license and CPR certification.
