Manager, Strategic Partnerships

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals and is seeking a full-time Manager, Strategic Partnerships. This full-time, work-from-home remote position will work in concert with the Academy’s partners in aligning their capabilities and objectives with the Academy’s strategic goals to ensure these alliances contribute to the overall success and innovation of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
INTERNAL ACADEMY SCANNING –
- Work closely with staff and volunteer leaders to ensure complete information from both an internal and external perspective is available as decisions are being made.
- Engage Academy staff liaisons to gain an understanding of the progress towards program of work for each partnership or alliance on a quarterly basis.
Connect with Academy staff to ensure understanding of current initiatives that relate to current committee efforts.
- Prepare quarterly internal updates for staff utilization in their work, including cross collaboration between staff, across committees, and volunteer leaders to ensure a futuristic approach to initiatives within the Academy to ensure long term success of the organization.
ACADEMY STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS -
- Maintain and expand a list of reliable sources for external environmental scanning – provide ratings for the reliability of the information.
- Manage and oversee the Academy alliances and strategic partnerships.
- Regularly assess and report opportunities for the future direction for alliance relationships relative to the impact to the Academy and its members.
- Work with leaders to identify possible strategic partnerships with professional associations and trade organizations to align with and collaborate on a myriad of Academy opportunities positioning members as leaders and experts within the profession.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Association Management, Business Management or Data Analysis is required;
- RDN certification and Project Management Certification preferred.
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 - 7 years of relevant experience as a Manager working in governance, partnerships or special interest groups.
- A motivated self-starter who has the ability to work independently and in teams settings. The successful candidate will possess an enthusiasm for the organization and profession.
- Must share the Academy’s philosophy for a diverse and equitable work environment and support efforts to be inclusive across all initiatives.
- A commitment to excellence coupled with strong communication, organization, and Microsoft Office skills are necessary
