QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform inspection activities on pipe fittings and flanges in an efficient, effective, and accurate manner. Ensure compliance with respect to Westbrook Energy Group, Customer, and Industry standards and or specifications.
Specific responsibilities may include:
- Inspect material, product, or assembled parts for defects and deviations from specifications.
- Record product inspection results, and ensure inspection documents are accurately completed
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Accept or reject material, product, or assembled parts not meeting customer or industry specifications and create non-conforming report according to internal procedure.
- Inform senior team members when non-conforming items or jobs are detected.
- Participate in the disposition process as necessary.
- Ensure non-conforming parts, product, or material, is moved to MRB area.
- Observe and monitor production operations to ensure in-process inspection is performed.
- Ensure first time products are consistently produced and inspected as required per procedure.
- Plan and organize own workload to ensure that delegated responsibilities are completed in accordance with specifications and drawings.
- Participates in OHSMS by reporting accidents or near misses, attending safety meetings, reporting problems, and recommending improvements and other related activities.
- Complies with Federal Flange’s Health and Safety Policy and all other health and safety practices, programs, and procedures.
- Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program in conformance with ISO
9001: 2015, API Spec Q1, and other applicable Quality and Safety standards. Comply with the Quality
Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

2.0 REQUIREMENTS
2.1 EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- High school diploma is required.
- Technical degree is a plus.
2.2 EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6 months experience in a machine shop environment.
- Experience working in an AP1 Spec Q1 environment a plus.
2.3 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Experience reading and interpreting blue prints, specifications, and procedures is preferred.
- Knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerances is preferred.
- Knowledge in the use of standard mechanical instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, etc. is preferred.
2.4 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY

- Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Eyesight correctable to 20/20 required. Required to test and pass an annual vision examination.
- Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
