Responsibilities:
- Training pet dogs from start to finish. Puppy to geriatric.
- Create training materials, including manuals, presentations, homework assignments, and more for clients and apprentices.
- Conduct and assist in training sessions for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments
- Provide guidance and support to staff members in their professional development
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent training practices across the organization
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in dog care and training
Skills:
- high level dog training ability
-understanding of behavior modification methods and safe practice
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively train and motivate staff members
- Knowledge of dog training industry practices and regulations
- Experience in animal husbandry, customer service, dog training, working in a professional setting is a must have
- Ability to lift heavy objects as needed
As a Senior Trainer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our staff members are well-trained and equipped to provide exceptional care for our dogs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs, as well as evaluating their effectiveness. Your expertise in the pet care industry will be invaluable in providing guidance and support to our staff members.
