We are seeking forward-thinking entry level candidates to join our industrial Instrumentation & Control Field Services team. This is no ordinary technician role – you'll receive mentorship and hands-on training to learn the instrument calibration trade and start your journey in a lifelong career!
Projects variety examples:
- Work within a cutting-edge chemical manufacturing site to calibrate and test field instrumentation and control loops.
- Perform an overview of the existing calibration points and suggest best practices to improve calibration time.
- Work with TAI’s Automaton & Controls Engineers to provide turnkey instrumentation solutions.
Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:
- Receive mentorship and training by working side by side with a talented team of Senior Instrument Technicians.
- Work within a variety of industrial and manufacturing facilities to provide calibration services.
- Provide excellent customer service by working closely with clients to provide technical calibration solutions and project execution.
- Learn how to test accuracy and perform calibrations of various instruments such as: flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters or detectors.
- Operate test equipment, such as pressure gauges, mercury manometers, potentiometers, pulse and signal generators, oscilloscopes, transistor curve tracers, and ammeters, voltmeters, and wattmeters.
- Troubleshooting and Repair of complex instrumentation systems.
- Assists in programming, maintenance and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers and process/environmental monitoring systems
- Stay on top of emerging technologies and industry trends.
You'll be a perfect fit if you have:
- An Associates degree or trade school certification within instrumentation, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, biotechnology, or other relevant program of study. A high school diploma or equivalent is also acceptable.
- A strong work ethic and desire to learn!
- Excellent customer service skills
- An aptitude within maintenance, mechanical or electrical trades.
- A desire to work with your hands and in the field.
- Prior experience within industrial, manufacturing plant, lab or skilled trade is a plus!
