JOB SUMMARY
Information Security Consultants provide risk and compliance services that follow defined standards/methodologies and utilize specialized security tools and software. They work directly with client personnel to perform information security reviews/audits as well as other services such as risk assessments, vulnerability/patch management scanning, and social engineering exercises.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate client networks and systems for security and efficiency.

Assess client policies and procedures for compliance with regulatory guidance and industry standards.

Stay abreast of information security, cybersecurity, regulatory, and other trends as they relate to our client base.

Produce reports detailing the findings of the services-rendered and associated recommendations to help the client meet information security and compliance standards.

Work within a team of consultants to continuously improve and update our services to ensure they stay ahead of information security and compliance trends.

Thorough, high-quality reports that are delivered in a timely manner, providing value to clients.

Support of team knowledge-share and initiatives.

Delivering excellent client service, support, and satisfaction. Responsible for assigned engagements and delivering high-quality deliverables within expected timeframes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A 4-year college undergraduate degree in a relevant technical/security-related field. However, a degree is not required when appropriate job knowledge and experience has been obtained.
Experience:
Work experience is not required if relevant education/training has been obtained. Without the appropriate education/training, the minimum amount of relevant work experience required to successfully perform the job is at least two (2) years.
Required Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate to a target audience.

Knowledge of Information security/cybersecurity principles, trends, controls, etc.

Security-related certifications are a plus, but not a requirement (CISSP, CISA, CISM, Security+, Net+, GIAC, etc.)

Strong information technology skills, versed in various server and operating systems (especially Windows and Debian-based Linux), networking technology, and network administration

Analytical, critical thinking, and solid trouble-shooting skills with focus on solutions.

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work autonomously.

Teamwork and collaboration focused.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
This position requires regular contact both inside and outside the company at all organizational levels, and involves considerable tact, discretion, persuasion, and/or negotiation to obtain willing action and consent.
DECISION MAKING
The position requires frequent decision making and the ability to plan and perform unusual or difficult work with general operation methods and procedures.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
General Supervision. Assignments are both task-oriented and objective-oriented. Work is reviewed by for soundness of judgement and overall adequacy and accuracy.

Travel: Some travel required (20-50%).

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. This position requires the basic need to look at a computer screen up to 8 hours a day. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
