The Practice Area Manager will be responsible for managing and administering contracts across the practice area for Strategix Management. This includes ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions, managing contract-related documentation, and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders. This position will have frequent communication with Project Directors across the company and will be responsible for providing periodic updates on project statuses to the executive team. The Practice Area Manager will also provide support to the business development team in the preparation and submission of proposals.
Responsibilities
Manage and administer government contracts to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions-
Prepare and maintain contract-related documentation, including amendments, change orders, and modifications

Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure contractual compliance

Conduct weekly status checks with Project Directors to maintain up to date on project progress
- Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Provide support to business development team in the preparation and submission of proposals

Work with Project Directors to develop budgets and monitor burn-down over lifecycle of contract
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors

Manage and maintain contract databases and other contract-related systems
Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor's degree in business administration, contract management, or a related field-
At least 3 years of experience in contract administration in a government contracting environment

Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and other relevant regulations and policies

Experience creating budgets and projections for large scale projects
- Strong organizational and communication skills, specifically able to communicate with various stakeholders to gather and disseminate information as necessary
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software

Ability to manage multiple projects at once

Able to work in a remote setting

Experience developing project management standards
