We offer a wide variety of hydraulic and electrical systems, lights, snow plow cutting edges, & custom fabrication. We repair and service the equipment on all trucks we build, as well as other snow removal trucks.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and personable Parts and Inventory Coordinator to join our team. Parts and Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for managing and replenishing stock of inventory and non-inventory parts, shop consumables, & shop equipment repair parts. Additionally, the role involves assisting with over-the-counter sales of plow truck repair parts, checking in trucks and components dropped off for repair, assist in directing calls and visiting customers to the appropriate department for support, and using technology to document and keep track of inventory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Oversee the management and replenishment of stock for both inventory and non-inventory parts.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is maintained to meet demand.
- Maintain an organized system for storing and stocking inventory.
- Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize stock shortages and excess inventory.
- Communicate with suppliers to place orders.
- Participate in production planning to forecast parts requirements.
- Use technology and MRP/ERP software to aid in efficiently managing inventory.
Parts Counter Management:
- Assist customers with over-the-counter sales of repair parts, both in-person and over the phone.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in finding the right parts for their needs and answering technical questions.
- Aid in picking and packing orders for shipment.
- Triage incoming phone calls and emails.
- Assist and direct customers to the appropriate department for support or service inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Logistics and Documentation:
- Check in trucks and components dropped off for build and repair.
- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of incoming and outgoing parts and materials.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of inventory levels and information using MRP/ERP software.
- Participate in loading & unloading deliveries and shipments with forklift (willing to train).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in parts management or a similar role within the automotive, manufacturing, electrical or related industry.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to keep an organized workspace.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Google Workplace applications.
- Experience with inventory management or MRP/ERP software is a plus
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
