Role Descriptions:
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our tax practice, taking ownership of complex tax compliance and planning initiatives for our clients. You will work closely with clients and team members to ensure that our clients’ tax needs are met effectively and in compliance with all applicable tax regulations & firm quality control standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base and contributes to the success and growth of our firm.
Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate Firm’s core values.
- Prepare and review federal & state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare both tax and GAAP basis compilations accurately.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor in all tax-related matters, and addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the Business Advisory Department to implement tax-savings strategies.
- Manage & prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely delivery.
- Complete projects within budget
- Be proactive in communicating to the Tax Manager the needs and/or issues of the tax division, whether with staffing, training, technology, processes, cross-functional workflow bottlenecks, etc.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring the growth of the tax practice.
- Review the work of junior staff to ensure the accuracy and quality of tax returns and other deliverables.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, and apply this knowledge to client situations.
- Identify and anticipate client needs, providing proactive tax planning and consulting services.
- Perform exceptional technical work with the highest standards of quality.
Qualifications:
- CPA license required for Senior Tax Accountant.
- CPA license preferred for Junior Tax Accountant.
- Ability to review projects & provide valuable feedback

- In depth knowledge of tax regulations, accounting principles & financial reporting
- Proven technical skills
- Proficient with tax software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
