Position Title: Snack Bar (“The Paddock”) Attendant
Position Reports to: Assistant Managers
Employee Categories: Part-time or Full-time Seasonal (April through September)
FLSA Category: Non Exempt; Hourly Position
Located between the 9th green and 10th tee, the Paddock l provides sandwiches, hot dogs, snacks, and cold beverages to the membership and their guests. Duties will include utilizing the point-of-sale system for all transactions and keeping an accurate tally of item consumption (if required for an event) to turn into Manager at end of day. Tracking inventory as well as restocking all non-perishable items at the end of each shift and ensuring it is stocked to par. Also maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of the Paddock area.
Please Note: potential candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire in order to serve alcohol in Massachusetts.
Primary Responsibilities:

Be a productive member of the team by showing up on time, properly groomed and dressed, in a positive frame of mind

Knowledge of menus and ability to answer questions about ingredients and cooking techniques

Greet members warmly and assist them in selecting snacks and/or beverages

Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items including sandwiches, hot dogs, snacks, and cold beverages (including alcoholic beverages)

Utilize the point-of-sale system to ring in all transactions

Sanitation of all food and beverage preparation areas

Proper and courteous communication with members and guests

Monitor inventory levels of snacks, beverages, and supplies

Restocking food and beverage items as needed

Work collaboratively with other employees to ensure smooth food and beverage operations

Work collaboratively with other snack bar staff to ensure smooth operations.

Additional duties/ projects as assigned by management
Required Skills:
-
Food and beverage knowledge preferred
-
Previous experience in a customer service role preferred

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Exposure to a private club environment preferred

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Specialized Knowledge/Licenses Required:

Massachusetts TIPS Certification
Physical Requirements:

Must be able bend and reach for items off shelves, carry trays, lift up to 30 lbs

Must be able to stand for 8 to 10 hours

Use touch screen for POS system

Basic reading and writing skills and ability to speak English conversationally
