Sage Neuroscience Center is a collaborative multidisciplinary clinic for behavioral health and addiction medicine currently looking for an Addictions Medicine physician. We serve thousands of people in the Greater Albuquerque Area, seeing 130 patients every day. Our focus is patient-centered care with an individualized approach, upholding a high standard of innovative treatment and compassionate attention to each patient’s needs. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate and treat ambulatory patients with substance use disorders for medically assisted withdrawal management, and medication assisted treatment.
- supervise 1-2 mid level providers, nurse and support staff in the addiction medicine clinic
- Attend treatment team meetings with the rest of the multidisciplinary team for treatment planning with patients
- Provide addiction medicine education and supervision to the rest of the clinical team and in intensive outpatient program groups
- Comply with medical records and risk assessment documentation policies/procedures, quality initiatives and electronic medical record usage.
- Review reports regarding utilization and high-risk patients, and utilize the information in the delivery of quality, cost effective health care services.
- Coordinate and cooperate as part of the patient care team with administration, nurse practitioner/physician assistant peers, clinical and non-clinical staff..
- Background in Psychiatry, Family Practice or Internal Medicine
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of
residency program
- Board certified in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry preferred
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of New Mexico
- Current DEA certificate
- Majority of work experience of the past 2+ years addiction medicine/psychiatry
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified, or specialty certification
- Some supervision experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to work with others and demonstrate leadership qualities
- Spanish-speaking a plus
Compensation:
- Salary commensurate with experience
- Four (4) weeks PTO annually
- Four (4) days CEU annually
- Up to eight (8) days sick leave annually

Pay: $190,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
