A national, real estate development company is actively seeking a Vice President of Accounting to join their Multifamily Land Development team. This is a high growth opportunity with a rapidly growing General Contractor.
The position is required to be in office, full-time, in Irvine. The role offers a base annual salary between $140,000 - $150,000, depending on experience, with additional opportunities for bonus structures.
Job Description:
The Vice President of Accounting will oversee the Construction Analysts and Project Accounting Teams and will work in conjunction with the CFO for Corporate accounting functions.
Essential Functions:

Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, job cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivables, general ledger and invoicing.

Oversee the vendor invoices/subcontractor payment request process.

Oversee contracts and change orders.

Oversee the monthly draw process.

Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly, and annual accounting reports within appropriate deadlines.

Oversee treasury management and Corporate banking.

Potential to oversee future payroll functions.
Qualifications:

Experience working with payment applications, schedule of values, lien releases, and general budget tracking.

Must be organized, efficient, and the ability to multi-task, be flexible, work independently and be willing to work cooperatively with co-workers and meet strict deadlines.
Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, required

CPA required
Experience:

7+ years of construction and development accounting experience, required

Experience at a Big 4 Accounting Firm, required
Computer Skills:

Experienced in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
