Job Summary
Responsible for assisting with day-to-day branch operations and counter sales. Responsible for support of operations, safety, and audit compliance and overall branch performance. Coordinates with other departments and branches in the overall handling of operations and providing service to customers.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
· Assists in managing the safety performance, operations practices, and financial productivity of the location. Assists with monitoring financial indicators/metrics and profit and loss to measure branch performance to goal.
· Provides support to the Inside/Outside Sales function to ensure orders are fulfilled and customer inquiries are addressed.
· Resolves customer service issues; tracks open sales orders.
· Works with purchasing to procure and maintain inventory; monitors to ensure proper inventory turns.
· Helps in the management of dedicated delivery processes and carrier services; ensures compliance with all Department of Transportation regulations.
· Sees that all AUS SOP’s are being followed by direct reports.
· Manages resources to meet daily customer service delivery requirements.
· Assists in the training of new associates. Serves as a mentor and leads other associates in operational functions. Conducts mid year and year end reviews with direct reports.
· Maintains a high level of product and operational knowledge to support branch function and compliance.
· Responsible for managing on time delivery, with 100% order accuracy.
· Manages the credit return processes looking for resalable material while identify non stock that need to be returned to vendor.
· Schedules Fleet maintenance, oil changes, DOT Inspections, etc.; submits for repair quotes for approval.
· Consistently meets the goal to have trucks loaded for first run the night prior. Getting trucks on the road by 8:00am.
· Manages direct report to uphold scheduled hour and assignments.
· Assigns project work when time permits and sees that direct reports are engaging in value-add activity.
· Receives and labels material.
· Loads and unloads trucks.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Nature and Scope
· May modify processes to resolve situations.
· Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Course of action is often determined by interpreting procedures and policies. Work typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor or direct "customers" of the process.
· Is sought out and/or assigned to provide general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level support personnel. Contributes to employees professional development but does not have hiring/firing authority.
Work Environment
· Work environment is both indoor and outdoor depending on the activity.
· Ability to lift 75lbs
· Forklift experience required.

Minimum Qualifications
· Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
· High School Degree (Bachelors Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.44 - $22.00 per hour
