Key Goals & Objectives
- Responsible for supervising waitstaff, operations, and guests of banquet experiences for all events at The Mansion of Glen Cove (“GCM”)
- Spearhead the planning of events, managing the food and beverage service, and tending to guests’ requests and complaints, in addition to training waitstaff
Responsibilities
- Check with the Food & Beverage Manager for daily objectives
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager for managing waitstaff schedule and their training SOP to ensure that banquet operations run smoothly
- Prioritize the comfort and safety of guests and communicate effectively with GCM’s colleagues from the Sales department to manage multiple streams of information accurately and timely
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assist them with seating arrangements
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager as well as the event organizers with planning the layout and logistics of events, while collaborating with the internal GCM sales team to achieve optimal banquet operations success
- Set up and manage waitstaff shifts and timetables per event
- Develop and provide training and support to the waitstaff including customer service and serving etiquette
- Manage the setup of events, ensuring all details are documented and shared with internal employees to ensure service consistency
- Run the floor and coordinate the food and drink service by liaising with the kitchen and service staff
- Monitor the inventory of supplies, equipment and furniture per event
- Tend to guests’ requests, questions and/or complaints professionally
- Ensure the venue and facilities remain neat and clean at all times
- Monitor safety regulations and policies for GCM
Requirements and Experiences
- Minimum 1-2 years of banquet operations experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Availability at all times during the day including weekends and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 56 per week
