Responsibilities:
- Scheduled Maintenance and Inspections: Perform regular maintenance on aircraft in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues.
- Repairs and Replacements: Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to repair or replace defective components.
- Welding and Soldering: Weld and solder aircraft parts as needed.
- Sheet Metal Work: Conduct repairs and fabrications using sheet metal.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Team Coordination: Work closely with other mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets safety standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and avionics systems
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
