Motion Tulsa Summer Camp/After School Program is a movement based childcare alternative Day Camp/After School for Tulsa kids. That means instead of boring babysitters and daycares, kids get to interact with YOU, making the most of their Summer/School year!
What do campers do at Motion Tulsa Summer Camp/After School? Gross motor skill games, Arts and Crafts, outings, swimming, field trips, unique activities and more.
What do Team Members do at Motion Tulsa Summer Camp? Everything! Team Members are paired with a specific age range of campers (your “team”). Your job is to make them feel special, included, and cared for. You’ll be in charge of their schedule and activities, helping them play games in our well appointed facility, eat lunch, swim during pool days, explore local parks and playgrounds, learn new and exciting games, and most importantly, make sure they have FUN!
Motion Tulsa Summer Camp is an accredited Summer Day Camp, not a resident/overnight camp, which means you’ll work a regular morning or afternoon shift and there are no weekend shifts!
During After School, we’re looking for super star Motion Tulsa Team Members to assist with our transported After School program, Motion After School from 1:45-6:00pm M-F.
Shifts, hours and Training:
Camp runs from 5/28/24 to 8/16/24, and After School starts the following Monday, 8/19/24.
*Expected start date: 7/29/24
Summer Camp shifts are from 7:15am-1:00pm or 12:00pm-6:00pm. After School from 1:45-6:00pm. Employees should expect between 25-30 hours of work per week during Summer Camp and 20-23 hours of work per week during After School.
Pay starts at $12/hr, with regular raises.
Applicant Requirements:
- 18 Years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clean driving record
- Naturally upbeat and positive
- Confident driving a vehicle with children
- Must enjoy playing games with groups of elementary age children (PK-5)
- Outgoing, dependable, organized and motivated
- Able to work well independently and within a team
- Excellent communication skills with co-workers and clients
- Ability to navigate both online and offline via computer
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Specific Duties:
- Transport children from their schools to our facility (no personal vehicles)
- Supervise activities like legos, coloring, card games and homework
- Lead gross motor skill games like dodgeball, tag and more
- Basic computer duties like point of sale, emailing, note taking
- Additional duties include Daily cleaning
Hours and Compensation:
- This is a part time position. Hours are 1:45pm to 6:00pm, Monday-Friday
- Additional morning and afternoon shifts for Day Camps and Summer Camps available
- Compensation starts at $12/hr
Qualified candidates must:
- Be Responsible, friendly, and have a great rapport with children.
- Be Self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Have a personal interest in Education, Physical Education, Psychology, or Health.
- Be 18 years old and have a high school diploma, clean driving record, no criminal record, and have the ability to pass a drug test.
