Overview:
This position assists operations for all Catering Functions to include, coffee breaks, buffets, plated and reception events; any and all functions serving any food & beverage items.
Job Purpose - To ensure his/her assigned events and activities are organized and executed, resulting in the complete satisfaction of the client & guests attending the event.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $17

Responsibilities:
Assists in maintaining and organizing all catering equipment, cleanliness, regular inventories and annual maintenance.
- Must be creative in setting up buffets and utilizing event décor.
- Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must.
- Position is very hands-on with interactions with clients and staff.
- Ensures all signage is properly displayed for each and every event
- Responsible for the proper service of food, beverage & assorted setup needs in various event settings.
- Ensures all equipment is setup properly, operating efficiently and accurately and is properly displayed.
- Ensuring all relevant and applicable paperwork is filled out correctly.
- Reports to functions and events at the scheduled time and comes to shift ready to work.
- Estimates, requests & inspects catering equipment and supplies regularly.
- Ensures accuracy and quality of all food and beverage.
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A strong communicator: be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format to management and staff as well as to all types of clients.

Fast paced and able to multi-task with a strong recall memory in order to achieve and maintain high levels of guest activity.

Positive and able to work solo or with a team of people.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Able to be creative with buffet presentations, and maintain a quality product.

Knowledgeable about food safety and basic health code policies and procedures.

Knowledge over cocktails, beverage handling and mixology.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
