Job Summary:
Handle all resin on the molding floor to support production.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:

Check set up book production prints for proper material and revision levels at start of shift.

Check all hoppers for correct material and lot numbers at start of shift.

Check all material barrels for correct material and lot numbers at start of shift

Check level of material in barrels and hopper to ensure that they are full at start of shift.

Check production schedule to ensure necessary material for the following shift is drying in pre-dryer.

and labeled correctly per part print using Plastic Identification Tags (Form #MO-122-X).

Conduct material changeovers in a timely manner, prioritizing changes over other duties.

During material changes, ensure hoppers are properly cleaned and re-labeled for the

next production run. Ensure all hopper temperatures are correct. Complete material check list

(Form #MO-113) and turn in to the shift supervisor at this time.

Clean off presses after material changes and as needed.

Prevent contamination of materials.

Remove previous jobs hopper/dryer and set up new (properly labeled)

Check dryers on a frequent basis for correct temperature setting and proper setup.

Completely identify all hoppers, sprue barrels, buckets, gaylords, pre-dryer and material bins (material #, lot #, etc.)

Give breaks to machine operators as time and scheduling allow.

Keep the molding department clean at all times.

Maintain material storage area cleanliness, all materials properly identified, and covered.

Keep color feeders full of proper colorant.

At the end of your shift, check and fill all hopper barrels, dispose of all sprue barrels,
empty all trash barrels.

Keep materials neat and orderly.

Stage materials for job changeovers and the next shift’s production schedule setting up pre dryers as necessary.

Assist in other duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
-
Maintains a valid forklift license.
Education and Experience:
Previous experience as a molding operator/die setter.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
