About Senex Law:
We are a next-generation law firm that exclusively serves the multifamily residential housing industry. Our motto – multifamily law, redefined – embodies our mission to fundamentally improve every facet of our clients’ experiences, the results we achieve, and the value we create through our legal services.
Our core law practice involves high volume legal support for residential rental property owners and managers throughout Virginia, and we embrace technology as a tool, not a substitute, to deliver extraordinary client service. Fittingly, we have developed, and continue to improve, our proprietary software to help us manage communications, generate accurate documents, and provide our attorneys and clients with the most reliable, up-to-date information available.
About the Position:
We are looking to hire a team-focused attorney to join our firm and help support our existing Virginia client base with extensive document review and production. From time to time, the position will require the successful attorney applicant to personally appear in court to handle the high volume of Unlawful Detainer dockets in courts throughout Hampton Roads. This will typically involve uncontested and contested General District Court cases but may involve appeals to Circuit Court. The successful attorney candidate will primarily dedicate most of their time, energy, and efforts reporting daily to our corporate office in Hampton to assist with internal document review, evictions support, bad debt recovery, minor lease reviews and revisions, drafting legal documents and pleadings, and responding to clients’ questions by email and telephone.
To Be Considered:
Candidates must be currently admitted to practice law in Virginia, but we do not have any minimum required experience level or require any particular familiarity with residential landlord-tenant law. We are, however, absolutely committed to finding the right attorney candidate to ‘get on the bus’ with us!
Attitude and effort are crucial, and we will only consider those who desire to be great, not merely good. To that end, we anticipate that our ideal candidate will have – or will quickly develop – these additional qualities and skills :
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Keen desire to become best-in-the-world in your position
- Hardworking and team-driven
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Embraces technology and innovation
- Confident and comfortable under pressure
Application Process:
This position comes with an excellent package of full-time benefits, and compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. To apply, please submit the following:
1. Cover Letter
2. Resume
3. References
4. Transcript (if you have less than 4 years of experience)
5. Anything else you’d like us to consider
Thank you in advance for your interest. For planning purposes, we will begin reviewing submissions immediately, and this position will remain open until it has been filled.
