The Literature Department at Sarah Lawrence College invites applications for a guest faculty to teach two semester-long undergraduate courses in the area of early modern / Renaissance literature, including Shakespeare. One of these courses will take place in Fall 2024 and the other in Spring 2025.
We welcome candidates who possess a broad familiarity with the literature of early modern Europe, and who are able to design courses—both seminars and lectures are possible—that would introduce students to a diverse range of authors, texts, modes, genres, and ideas from 1500 to 1700.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a letter of reference, and two-course proposals that would meet the job expectations.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Compensation listed for this position is on a per-course basis, contingent on teaching experience.
