MANAGER
Located in the heart of the West Loop, Wicker Park, and River North, Parlor’s menu features fresh, local ingredients for brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night service. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the restaurant
- Quickly & professionally respond to any customer related issues
- Communicate with both FOH and BOH employees
- Checking out servers and bartenders, reconciling safe, filling out daily reports
- Ensure smooth dining and bar experience for the customers
- Communicate with the servers and kitchen to get food out in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction, resolve conflicts and complaints as they arise
- Assists in hiring and training staff
- Double check all orders that come in
- Knowledge of the food menu and table numbers
- Manages and oversees scheduling, adjusts schedules on the fly when needed
- Handles disciplining and terminating employees in accordance with restaurant policy
- Frequent quality control checks on food
- Ensure compliance in accordance with capacity and liquor regulations
- Conducts daily checks of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling and hygiene standards.
- Schedules routine maintenance and service on equipment, calls in repairs as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of strong supervisory experience
- Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours or as needed
- Must have weekend availability
- Aloha POS and Open Table knowledge is a plus!
- A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
- Must have a great sense of hospitality and understand how it impacts on our business
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
- Time management, organizational, and attention to detail is a must
- Decision making and problem-solving skills; able to identify and analyze problems and offer solutions.
- Responds well to feedback and constructive criticism
- Able to professionally communicate information to others and actively listen
