As a Medical Billing Specialist, your role will be crucial in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes within a healthcare setting. You’ll handle various aspects of medical billing, including Workers Compensation, No Fault, and IDR claims. Here are the key responsibilities:
Claims Submission and Follow-Up:
- Submit claims to insurance companies promptly.
- Diligently follow up on unpaid claims and denied submissions.
- Identify and resolve any billing discrepancies or errors.
Patient Inquiries and Payment Resolution:
- Address patient inquiries related to billing and payment.
- Resolve issues arising from claims or payments.
- Maintain accurate records of billing and collection activities.
Billing Accuracy and Coding:
- Utilize knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding for accurate claim submissions.
- Ensure proper charge entry and payment posting.
- Interpret denials and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
Monthly Reporting and Performance Tracking:
- Generate monthly reports to track billing and collection performance.
- Monitor accounts receivable and identify trends.
Workers Compensation, No Fault, and IDR Expertise:
- Apply specialized knowledge in handling Workers Compensation claims.
- Navigate No Fault billing intricacies.
- Familiarity with Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) processes.

Pay: $19.98 - $24.07 per hour
