Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician to join our team. The Research Technician will be responsible for assisting with scientific research projects and conducting laboratory experiments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cell biology and scientific research techniques. Responsibilities:
- Perform various laboratory experiments and assays under the guidance of senior researchers
- Conduct tissue culture, including cell culture and maintenance of mammalian cell lines
- Perform transfection experiments to introduce genetic material into cells
- Assist with DNA isolation, PCR, and other molecular biology techniques
- Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations
- Collaborate with team members to analyze data and contribute to research findings
- Assist with general laboratory maintenance, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies
Skills:
- Proficiency in cell culture techniques, including aseptic technique and media preparation
- Experience with transfection methods and molecular biology techniques
- Strong understanding of cell biology principles and laboratory protocols
- Ability to follow detailed experimental protocols and maintain accurate records
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using scientific software and data analysis tools (e.g., Python)
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
