8-hour shifts are scheduled, and overtime applies for any hours beyond 8-hours. Yes, you will be paid time and a half after 8-hours. Shift differentials also apply to our 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Two weeks paid leave after 12-months of service. Employees can opt to take up to 40-hours of pay in lieu of taking time off.

Role and Responsibilities:
Below are the roles and responsibilities that the PCT is expected to fulfill to help facilitate quality, patient-centered care on their unit:
· Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living.
· Coordinate and assist nurse with providing individualized care to patients and residents.
· Perform restorative care and ensure resident’s restorative plan of care is followed.
· Supervise and assist at meals to ensure adequate intake.
· Report any changes in the patient or resident’s condition to the nurse. Utilize the “Stop and Watch” protocol to assist in identifying these changes.
· Maintain daily documentation of ADLs.
· Follow safety measures for all residents and patients.
· Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and patients.
· Promote a friendly, home-like atmosphere.
· Observe safety rules while performing duties.
· Assist in transporting residents to activities and the dining room.
· Establish rapport with resident to encourage involvement and assistance with plan of care.
· Develop good communication with the patient or resident and their visitors and family members..
· Review medication orders for completeness and accuracy.
· Complete incident investigations and reports as necessary.
· Promote teamwork.
· Report any equipment failures to the nursing manager immediately.
· Follow established infection control practices.
· Provide safety and environment checks routinely and report any issues to maintenance for improvement.
· Report injuries to the nurse immediately
· Participate in the completion of incident reports.
· Other duties as assigned.
