Overview:
As an accounting clerk at Crim & Villalpando, you will work directly with and report to our head of accounting. You will handle the closing steps of a case once a file has been settled in addition to various admin style tasks delegated to you.
The right candidate will be self motivated, organized, detail oriented, and a team player. Pay will align with experience level, but starts at $22 an hour.
Responsibilities:
- Quality check files coming from negotiations to ensure all relevant documents are in to do closing steps
- Closing steps include but not limited to: getting releases signed, reductions, drafting final accounting documents for approval and client signature, handling liens, and prepping the file for disbursement
- Assist with mailing documents, checks, and other necessary and needed accounting documents
- Sort checks that are received in the mail, ensuring they are received by the head of accounting for deposit
- General administrative tasks and data entry as needed
- Assist as back-up reception if both of our receptionists are unavailable for whatever reason

Skills:
- Previous personal injury law firm accounting or settlement department experience (Preferred, willing to review other non-law firm relevant experience)
- Quickbooks (Strongly Preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish (Required)
- Clio or Neos Case Management Software
