Duties:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, PET scans, and mammography.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions.
- Position patients correctly to obtain the necessary images.
- Follow protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain patient records and documentation of procedures.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Skills:
- Proficient in diagnostic evaluation using medical imaging techniques.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Experience working in an emergency room (ER) setting is preferred.
- Skilled in using various imaging modalities such as X-ray, CT scan, PET scan, and mammography.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique to prevent infections during procedures.
