SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: As an Analyst I - Information Security at the top pediatric hospital in the country, you play a crucial role in safeguarding information assets and technologies. Your responsibilities encompass analyzing, implementing, reviewing, and maintaining security tooling and processes to allow for the proper detection and response of cyber security threats. The work you do will help ensure that critical data at the hospital, renowned for its excellence in pediatric care, remains adequately protected. Working within a dynamic environment where the stakes are high and innovation is paramount, you contribute to maintaining the hospital's reputation for exceptional patient care and cutting-edge medical practices.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management:
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of systems safeguarding CCHMC data.

Identify necessary resources for small projects and facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders.

Assist in developing and managing project plans, determining project scope and complexity.
Analysis:
- Analyze, design, implement, and maintain moderately complex systems enhancing clinical care and patient management.

Support system testing and document testing outcomes.

Develop technical solutions and prepare comprehensive user and technical documentation.

Review and enhance existing documentation as needed, adhering to development lifecycle processes and operating procedures.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for production and process issues.

Identify and resolve minor to midsized issues, utilizing appropriate Change Control methods.

Serve as a liaison between Cincinnati Children's departments and Information Services.

Evaluate system performance and functionality, gathering information for future development needs or feasibility studies.

Participate in on-call support rotation, handling incident resolution and problem determination.
Customer Support:
- Ensure excellent end-user support, monitoring Service Level Agreements for incident management.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer-centered incident management and support.

Promote adherence to change management policies and procedures.

Demonstrate outstanding customer service behavior, including timely follow-up with customers.
Professional Development:
- Enhance knowledge and skills through cross-training, literature review, and attendance at department meetings and vendor education.

Foster positive relationships internally and externally to CCHMC.

Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations, conduct instructional seminars.

Develop expertise in Cincinnati Children's computer-based systems and perform assigned duties effectively.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0-2 years of experience in a related job discipline
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Python experience – small scale scripting and integration
- Basic understanding of HTTP, HTML, and JavaScript
